A Hard Freeze Watch has been issued from Thursday (Dec. 22) afternoon/evening. A Wind Chill Watch has been issued for all of South-Central Texas from 6 p.m. Thursday evening through noon on Friday (Dec. 23).
Warming Centers for Hays County
Warming Centers may be activated in the event of widespread power outages in Hays County. In the event warming centers are needed, Hays County Office of Emergency Services is coordinating with several local organizations in the vicinity that will support residents seeking a place to stay warm until the power is back on at their homes. Buses from Dripping Springs Independent School District (ISD), Wimberley ISD, Hays Consolidated ISD and San Marcos ISD may be available for mobile warming station deployment to affected neighborhoods and/or senior centers.
