    Ignition Interlock

Judges commonly require ignition interlock (IID) as a condition of release in DWI or intoxication-related cases. When this condition is ordered, you must have an IID on any car you drive.

If you are unable to obtain an IID, you should contact your attorney, who can help you choose the next measures to take.

In some instances, the court may consider substituting IID with a Portable Alcohol Monitoring (PAM) device.
