Hays County Indigent Burials

Hays County Health Department provides assistance to individuals and families who have no resources to a dignified burial or cremation for a decedent who passed away in Hays County.

Application Process:

1. Contact HCHD at (512)-393-5520 to schedule an appointment and obtain information on eligibility requirements. 
2. Information will be collected by the caseworker regarding the decedent's income and other eligibility requirements at the time of the appointment.
3. Walk-ins are welcome, however appointments are preferred.
