Our Purpose

The purpose of Pretrial Services is to assist the Courts in providing information to determine whether individuals are eligible for pretrial release pending trial upon a person's arrest. Key components in our decision-making are whether the individual is at risk of nonappearance or a danger within the community.

Additional factors to consider are whether conditions for release may be necessary for those individuals to be safe from detention using other special needs that may be required to reduce those risk factors noted above.
