The City of San Marcos, Hays County, the Hays County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) No. 351, the Upper San Marcos Watershed Reclamation & Flood Control District (RECL& FCD), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas held public meetings on the Supplemental Watershed Plan and Environmental Document (Plan-ED) for Upper San Marcos River Dam Sites 4 and 5 in Hays County.
As part of the NRCS ongoing project for Dam Sites 4 & 5, public meetings were conducted on August 22, 2023. See the materials below that were shared at those meetings.

The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process, the City of San Marcos, Hays County, the Hays County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) No. 351, the Upper San Marcos Watershed Reclamation & Flood Control District (RECL & FCD), the United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas, and the Ad Astra consultant team will develop a Plan-ED that identifies rehabilitation alternatives for these dams. The process started this summer and will continue through the fall of 2024.
