Introduction

Hays County Recycling & Solid Waste facilities offer drop-off locations for our rural residents who do not have waste or recycling services at their home. Hays County does not offer any trash pick-up services. Both locations are open Tuesday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Sunday & Monday and official county holidays.

Please call ahead if you have additional questions regarding solid waste disposal or recycling at our facilities.

All Household Hazardous Waste items must be dropped off at the Household Hazardous Waste collection facility located at 634 East Hopkins across the street from HEB (look for the sign and banner) in San Marcos. The HHW facility is open to all Hays County residents.
